Fun Friday: Salt Dough Ornaments

Salt dough ornaments are so fun & easy to make, especially when you let the kids help out. But they're even more fun to decorate! Ours still need some paint & some Christmas ribbon strung through the holes yet, but we're well on our way to some holiday fun!

•2C. flour
•1/2C. salt
•just shy of 1C. water

- In a mixing bowl, combine salt & flour.
- Gradually add in water until you get the consistency of a good dough.
- Knead about 10 times & then roll out on a slightly floured surface.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat mats.
- Using a straw, poke holes for the ribbon to be strung through.
- Bake at 275º for 30-60 min. Paying careful attention so that they do not brown or bubble. If need be, lower temperature & extend cooking time.
- Decorate as desired.
