Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen - Product Review

Ok, so here's the deal. I received my first Voxbox from Influenster, the Summer Beauty Voxbox 2012. And wow, was it chock full of goodies!

But naturally, summer instantly has you thinking of sunny beaches, right? Which ultimately leads to sunscreen. Now if you're anything like me & you get a wonderful burn from the chest up at the playground, you need something to fix that. Yes, I know I should slather on the kids sunscreen, but it's just not my cup of tea so to speak. Well, thanks to Influenster my problem is now solved.

In my Voxbox I received a 2 oz. sample size of Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration with a SPF of 30 (SPF 12 & 50 also available).

It has 12 hour moisturization while out in the sun, with hydrating silk ribbons which goes on light, allowing your skin to breathe. Which is absolutely perfect for applying to your face, since it doesn't have that greasy feeling. It nourishes & pampers your skin while providing broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection. And then there's the scent! let's just say that the 2 minutes I use to apply my Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, is the closest this busy SAHM is getting to the beach.

And you'll be happy to know that a little bit goes a long way & generally retails at $8.99 for a 6 oz. bottle. And you can also get a $1 off coupon courtesy of their Facebook page. So what are you waiting for? Try some yourself & enjoy the rest of your summer. I know I will!

**Disclaimer: I received this product to try from Influenster & am simply sharing my personal opinion which may vary from yours. I was not compensated for this review.

Where Did the Day(s) Go?... To Lunch!

Excuse me. Where did the day go? Where did Tuesday go for that matter. Apparently I have been uber productive these past couple days. Even though Tuesday was more of a "prepper" kind of day. You know, where you start a bunch of things but don't fully finish them until the next day. Fine with me regardless of which day things get done. (Unless there's a deadline, then you better just stay out of the way.)

But one thing I did get done yesterday was dinner (good thing huh?) I made Spicy Dr. Pepper Shredded Pork courtesy of The Pioneer Woman. And let me tell you, it was SPICY!!! I got the recipe from Pinterest after a nurse at our family doctor's office had mentioned it. What was better, was that it made the BEST BBQ Pork Sandwiches for lunch today!

Just toast your bun & top with:

-shredded cheddar cheese
-a drizzle of BBQ sauce
-pickles

Sounds yummy doesn't it? Definitely a great lunch resulting from our lost Tuesday. Maybe I should lose days more often! ;-)

That "A-Ha" Moment

So, have you ever attempted something but had it fail? Of course you have, you're human. But, did you then have your epiphany? Your "a-ha" moment if you will. Well, this is mine.

Let's face it, this blog just isn't cutting it. Not like I had intended it to anyways. But now that I've had my "a-ha" moment, it's going to be transformed over the next few weeks. Not only will the overall look change (once I brush up on some HTML basics of course), but my main concept is too.

Smith and Blessings will now be about my life as a SAHM. No, you're not going to be subject to my kid's milestones (although Hayden did just get her 1st TWO teeth! *wink wink*) But if I find any helpful or awesome products, I'll share a review. Delicious recipes, fun crafts, great GPT or freebie sites, helpful tips... You get the gist of it.

So on that note, I leave you with this cute little sign I happened across while doing a search on Bing Rewards
