Fun Friday: Upcycled Bean Bag

Ever notice how kids can have tons of fun with the simplest of things? Well it doesn't get much simpler than some of the hubs old work jeans, dry beans, a needle & thread.

This is just one of the upcycled bean bags I made for the kids. There was no way any of them were going to give theirs up. (Even if just for a picture.)

They've played hop scotch, hide & seek, bucket toss & a few other made up games today. But the best part is, that they'll serve as another craft some other day when the kids get to paint & personalize them. 

How To:

•squares of fabric cut from old clothing (make sure it's not worn through)

•dry beans

•needle & thread

•Working with fabric squares inside out, sew together 3 sides & partial of the 4th (you want to make sure you have plenty of room to turn your square inside right). Don't forget to double stitch on your starting & ending points.

•Fill between 2/3 & 3/4 full with dry beans.

•Folding rough edges in, carefully stitch opening shut making sure to double stitch on your starting & ending points.
