Snacktastic Saturday: Italian Breadsticks

Let's face it, some of the tastiest food out there just so happens to be not very good for you. Well, this just happens to be one of those foods.

•Italian bread dough or pizza dough (I use this recipe)
•flour
•oil for frying
•Parmesan cheese
•garlic powder
•dried parsley

- Shape the dough into a loaf & cut into slices.
- In a bit of flour to prevent sticking, roll the dough slices out into ropes.
- Fry in oil until slightly browned, flipping to cook both sides (a deep fryer works best).
- Place on a paper towel lined plate & sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder & parsley.

Enjoy!

*Note: Although these are not very healthy (at all), they do not last long enough to consume them all. Unless you're alone. Then you might be in trouble.

  1. I just care if it tastes good and it looks like it does :)
I will try it tonight because it looks like the same recipe for dough that I use for my fried panzerotti. The plain ones with no filling would be great with this sprinkled on top!
