Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum

Wouldn't it be nice if there was such a product that could help improve your complexion while making it look like you were aging backwards too? Oh wait, there is!

Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum is quite the "youth-enhancing serum". I use just 2 pumps at night & have noticed a dramatic change in my complexion. I have far less "bad complexion" days when my monthly BFF comes around, which is what really caught my eye.

I also seem to be moisturizing less, but have more hydrated skin. Meaning, those spots that seem to get dry no matter what I do...well, I haven't seen them yet this winter. And with this weather, that could almost be considered a miracle.

Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum is made with a triple blend of anti-aging ingredients like super antioxidant melon complex, anti-aging peptides & hyaluronic acid that helps restore your skin to a more youthful looking state.

Learn more about Meaningful Beauty, the collaboration between French anti-aging specialist Dr. jean Louis Sebagh & Cindy Crawford. Otherwise known as the supermodel who never ages! Am I the only one who notices that? Obviously it has to do with the Essentials for More Beautiful Skin

Better yet, there are even 2 complete systems! I really want to try the 7-Piece New Advanced Deluxe System since it comes with an Eye Enhancing Serum & a Glowing Serum. It's not too late for a Christmas present to myself, is it?

Simple Sunday: Crafty Projects in the Basement

I found this little gem buried in the basement. It needs a bit of tender loving care. And a few screws. And a coat or two of paint maybe. Until then, it's just to look at. If I put something on it, it just may collapse into pieces. But I'm hoping to make this pretty again. After I decide where I'm going to put it of course.

Snacktastic Saturday: Salty Smores

It's a rare occasion that I have marshmallows & chocolate bars in this house at the same time. Of course when I do, Smores are a must. Too bad I don't usually have graham crackers on hand (I go cheesecake crazy when we have them). But I do keep a good stock of Ritz crackers. Did anyone else have that light bulb moment?

I have to say these were preferred over traditional Smores in my house. Well, at least 4 out of 5 of us.

•Ritz crackers (or generic brand, it doesn't matter)
•marshmallows, cut in half
•chocolate bar, broke into pieces (let me say that dark chocolate is amazing with the saltiness of the crackers)

- Stack crackers with chocolate pieces & marshmallow halves.
- Microwave 15-25 sec.
- Top with another cracker.
- Eat.
- Enjoy!

Fun Friday: Fishtail Rubberband Bracelet

My almost 8 year old, Paige, has been making those rubberband bracelets like crazy! She doesn't have the fancy loom to make the even fancier bracelets, at least not yet (once we finally have Christmas with my parents she will). Which means there's only a handful of styles she can make. But her favorite, is the Fishtail style.

Paige asked me if I could have her bracelet for my "Fun Friday" & I agreed on one condition - she had to write a little 'how to'. So the following, is by Paige.

1. First I put a rubberband on my two fingers that was twisted.
 2. Then I put two more rubberbands on my two fingers.
3. And put the twisted one over the two rubberbands.
4. Then I added another one and put the bottom over it.
5. Then repeat Step 4.

Think It Thursday: Sticking to Your Goals

With a new year comes new goals. Actually, most call them resolutions, but I find that the word "goals", seems to have a higher success rate. But why is that? Well resolutions make us feel like failures the second we get off track, where as with goals we're more forgiving of ourselves. As long as we make realistic goals of course.

So let's get realistic. One of the major goals of women every year is to lose weight. But instead of saying you want to lose 8lb. a month or 100lb. by the end of the year, why not just make the goal to be more fit & eat right? You could even go out & purposely buy an outfit too small & have that be your goal.

Of course there's a lot of "exercising every day" goals too. That doesn't mean for hours on end either. Busy day? 10 crunches. There, you exercised. It may not be much, but you did it. I decided I'm going to do yoga every day, but what happens when it's almost time for bed & I haven't done anything yoga related yet? Corpse pose. Yes, I just lay there & concentrate on breathing. I may not be building my balance or core, but it's a legit pose so I call it a day.

Then there's the whole short term & long term of it. Make sure that your short term goals aren't really just rushed long term goals. That is just setting yourself up for failure. For instance a short term goal of mine is doing projects on the house, at least one a month. When you word it that way, the littlest things really seem to count. Because let's face it, we don't always have the time or the money to give one room in our house a complete overhaul (I wish!). A long term goal is to get further in yoga. As a Christmas gift to myself this year, I'd love to be on my way to finding out how to become an instructor. But even if I'm not quite there by then, I would have still gotten further so I can't be hard on myself.

So remember to be easy on yourself. You had a day that you ate nothing but junk, sat around watching Netflix & refused to even shower. So what?! We all need days like that occasionally. Consider it motivation rather than a failure.

Work It Wednesday: Start the Year Off Right Workout

I'm sure a million & one people made the resolution to exercise daily or near daily. And of course most probably threw in "for at least an hour" or "at the gym with my new membership", but not me. Actually I don't make resolutions per se, more like goals, both long term & short term. Of course one of them is to get fit (& do some yoga everyday, but that's beside the point), so a little exercise helps.

After searching for a good 30 min. or so, I found just what I was looking for!

From Fitness2Business

Jana from Fitness2Business has the best challenge for someone like me. Comprised of just three exercises & one rest day a week, it's super easy to squeeze this workout into my mostly hectic days. Not to mention it would be easy to repeat every month, just increasing the starting number of reps at the beginning & from then on.

Tasty Tuesday: Chicken Fajitas

I remember growing up, my mom would buy those frozen chicken fajita kits all the time. They were so good! At least to teenage me they were. Of course adult me still loves fajitas, just not those frozen kits.

•seasoned grilled chicken (or steak if that's what floats your boat), cut into strips
•green &/or red pepper, cut into strips
•red onion, cut in half & then sliced
•margarine or olive oil
•brown sugar
•salt & pepper
•tortillas (I use this recipe & make them myself)

*Note: You can season your meat however you'd like. I usually use just a bit of taco seasoning & seasoned salt, but have been know to simply use an Italian dressing marinade as well.

- Saute the red onion & pepper in just a bit of olive oil or margarine until tender.
- Add salt, pepper & a bit of brown sugar (try adding just a bit & then altering to your desired sweetness)
- To assemble, top chicken strips with pepper & onion mixture down the center of your tortilla.

Hubs like to add all the regular fixings like lettuce, tomato, sour cream & cheese too. So I guess his is more like a Chicken Fajita Taco. Which is pretty good too.

Enjoy!
