May's Featured Consultant: Last Day!!!

I am SO excited! I absolutely cannot wait for my Thirty One order to come in. I got the All-in-One Organizer (desperately needed I might add) in the "Best Tweets" pattern with custom lettering.
There were tons of other items that I may (as in probably will) end up getting. I could definitely get some use out of the Cinch-It-Up Thermal Tote this summer. Sounds perfect for snacking on the go!

And then there's the Cindy Tote that would compliment so many of my style pins on Pinterest (I'm a pin-aholic).

Here's the Picnic Thermal, Large Utility Tote & All-In-One Organizer. Get them all in matching patterns (or not if you prefer), load them all  up & take the fam on an outing for the day. Snacks, on the road activities for the kids & a place to keep your stuff!

Now you want to celebrate the end of the school year & go somewhere right? Well, don't forget to order some Thirty One products from our featured consultant Jacqulin Crites-Rini before you do!

Sleek & Shine, All the Time

Don't you love it when you manage a good hair day? Even better is 2 or 3 a week right? Well, how would you like to have them all the time? (Or at least close to it.) Yea, yea, yea. You want to know what magical concoction you'll have to apply at 8 p.m., under a full moon, while singing Madonna songs? How about you just try some Garnier Fructis & call it a night, mkay?

Yes, that's right. I said Garnier Fructis. I got to try out the Sleek & Shine because I'm a BzzAgent (yes I know you've heard that before), but they have other formulas too. (Pure Clean, Color Shield & Body Boost just to name a few.) But the Sleek & Shine was right up my alley! My hair got dull over the years, had flyway's & was just an overall pain to style. Now it's shiny all day long (without ever feeling weighed down), very little to no flyway's (depending on the humidity) & I haven't had so many good hair days since I was pregnant!!! And trust me, I'd rather change my shampoo & conditioner than be knocked up again, LOL!

But there's more, you can get beautiful hair & help the environment at the same time. How? Garnier Fructis now comes in an easy to open, lightweight, Eco-Fructis bottles which contain 30% recycled plastic. And they have also teamed up with TerraCycle which upcycles or recycles your wasted beauty product containers into various products (like a trash can or soap dispenser).

How about that! Beautiful hair, beautiful planet. What's not to love? i guess you'll have to try it out for yourself. So, as an extra little push nudge, be sure to print this coupon. And don't forget to "like" GarnierUSA on facebook, you never know what goodies you may find there. To learn more about Garnier, you can go here and here.

After you try it, be sure to stop by my facebook page and let me know how you liked it.
Shine on. Bzz on.

So Sorry, Now Let's Have Fun

Ok, I know it's been a while, & I apologize for that. Hayden Tinley, the youngest, has had some rough days with being sick lately. She now has her family doctor, her ENT specialist & her Pediatric Pulmonologist from the Children's Hospital. But the bottom line is, we're finally getting some answers (whether this Mom wants to hear them or not). She's still smiling through it all as usual, but on bad days it's hard to get anything done. Therefore good days are spent desperately trying to catch up on everything.

Now after several good days, I'm here!!! But my allergies are going haywire almost every time I step outside. (Thank you children for blessing me with allergies that worsen with each of you.) Good thing I have my Claritin handy!

Speaking of Claritin, remember the Children's Claritin BzzCampaign I did? Well, I have 3 - $3 off coupons left. So I decided to have a scavenger hunt for them. You see, I'm an avid pinner on Pinterest & I have 3 pins hidden in my pinboards with the 1st step of instructions on how to get your coupon. The 1st person to respond to each pin will get it. But please only 1 coupon per person.

So let's start now! Click on the handy dandy "FOLLOW ME ON PINTEREST" button to the right to get to my boards & don't forget to actually follow me so you can see all my new pins when they come up. Now get started & have fun!!!

I Want More Knorr!

Remember the product testing I was talking about a few weeks ago? Well I've had more! (Jealous, I know. But don't worry, you'll learn through my blog how you can get started too.)

First, let me just say that product testing is wonderful! It allows me to try things I otherwise wouldn't have. And sometimes there are products that make a HUGE difference in your daily routines. So those products manage to get on my shopping lists over...and over...and well, you get the point. Much like the Knorr Homestyle Stock (chicken flavor) that I received from being a Smiley360 member.

When I accepted this mission, I had no idea what an impact it would make on me. You see, I only used stock half the time (it always looked like so much & I didn't want to waste it.) I substituted just broth for the rest, which required lots of extra seasonings. So when I received my mission box, by the looks of it I thought I would probably like it. Boy was I wrong! I LOVED it!! Right down to the best ladle I have ever used (it has more of a pointed tip so you actually get to the bottom of the pot, without needing an extra spoon.)

Now, I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive of it's jelly-like consistency. But that little jelly-like cube was packing a whole lotta flavor! I decided to try the Lemon Chicken Primavera  from the small booklet of recipes I also got in my box. & I did NOT alter the recipe in any way. If you know me, you know that takes an extreme amount of effort on my part! My only disappointment was that there wasn't enough leftovers!

I was so shocked at the amount of flavor this dish had. It was phenomenal! I really can't describe it any other way. The little stock cup seamlessly blended into the recipe & was the equivalent of about 3 1/2 C. of liquid stock.

Let's review the basics:
  • No mess
  • Little tub
  • Takes up less space
  • BIG FLAVOR!
So I may have shared all of my coupons I had, (with a warning to hurry & use them because the Knorr Homestyle Stocks were on sale that week & I was going to be stocking up on both chicken & beef flavors!). But I do have some other things I can share with you! For more wonderful Knorr recipes (like Braised Short Ribs with Gravy) go to Let's Make Knorr. If you're more of a cooking show fan, you can check out Chef Marco Pierre White's recipe videos.

And as always, don't forget to "like" Knorr on Facebook. You never know what yummy deliciousness you might find!

Be heard. Be happy.

Consultant of the Month: Jacqulin Crites-Rini & Thirty One

I'm so excited! This is our first month to feature an independent sales consultant & their wonderful company. For May, you will meet Jacqulin Crites-Rini, an enthusiastic consultant for Thirty One. But it's not just about the product, even though they are wonderful (I'm thinking I could definitely use a large utility tote!). You also get to know her on a more personal level, which really does make the whole Thirty One experience that much better. On that note, here you go!

I am an extremely happy mother of one and soon to be wife of my best friend and first teenage crush Michael. I have been very fortunate to be able to stay at home with our son after years of being a career focused sales representative.  I love spending time with my amazing family and friends.
I started with 31 last August. I had one bag from them that a friend picked out for me at a show she was going to. I bought the large utility tote and little did I know I would be selling it a little over a year later. My sister became a consultant in January of 2011 and planted the "seed" right away. I had a show in March that triggered my love and addiction for the entire 31 line. I knew I wanted to sell it I was super excited and passionate about it. There was a recruiting freeze because the company has grown so much they had to hire more on the production end before recruiting more to sell. By August I received the invite to join and I have been ecstatic with my results!! I am now a senior consultant and one lovely lady away from becoming a Director.
I absolutely love 31!! The amount of support and encouragement not only from corporate but up my line is awesome! I love what the company stands for and the values and integrity they show throughout everything they do. Plus this product sells itself! I have so many people that call to order for gifts and for themselves. The items are practical, original, and useful!! I think what drew me to 31 initially was the ability to personalize your bag!

I have too many favorite products...I truly love them all!! I will highlight a few.

The large utility tote is what started my 31 craze. This tote can be used for so many different things. The pool, a day trip, groceries, laundry and really a ton more. Many consultants from other home based sales companies use the large utility to transport their products to their shows.

Thermal tote. One of 31's most popular items. Many people use this for a lunch tote and its common amongst teachers, students as well as nurses. I use mine to keep snacks and drinks cool for the pool, zoo or other activities.

Another favorite is the mini utility bin (pictured in center) These make great gifts and are very versatile as well. They can be uses to store toys, Easter baskets, to hold a potted plant for mothers day, label it beauty bin and use it for hairsprays & brushes. The ideas are endless.

For the month of May spend 31 and the all in one organizer is only 5.00. These can be used to hold file folders, toys for the car, CD's, DS with games, remote controls and other living room items, magazines for the pool, coloring and activities for the kids or other ideas you may come up with.

Also, for all new consultants who join from now until May 31st, have an opportunity to earn their kit investment back. When a consultant submits $1000 in personal volume (super simple) in the first 30 days they receive the 99 kit cost back! So basically you have gotten over $300 in 31 products for free and have started a business for FREE! This is on top of an incentive that already exists to earn more free product in your first 90 days. This is an awesome opportunity to begin your own business with 31! And although you may have heard of 31 you are part of the 1% that has. There is so much potential to share 31 with people I have not done a show yet where at least one person has never heard of 31!

An Apple A Day...

We've all heard that saying "An apple a day, will keep the doctor away". And I have to admit we eat a lot of apples in my house. Not to keep the doctor away necessarily, but because we all love them. Apple slices & Nutella anyone?

But what do you do when you have an abundance of apples & suddenly no one wants any? My solutions, make applesauce & a simmer pot.

Start with the applesauce:

  • core, peel & slice your apples (save the peels for your simmer pot)
  • place in a large pot with enough water to cover the bottom
  • cook over medium heat until apples are "mushy"
  • add a small amount of margarine or a sprinkling of cinnamon if desired
*You can leave as is for a chunkier sauce, or use a potato masher for a smoother consistency.

Now, about those peels...

I have one of those mini crock pots, you know, the kind specifically for dips. Well, just add your apple peels & a pinch of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick with a bit of water & turn it on. I've also added some orange peels & whole cloves before. If you don't have a mini crock pot, don't fret. Just use a small pot on your stove top over low heat.

But no matter how you make it, your house will smell yummy without buying those fancy schmancy plug-ins. And you can experiment with other ingredients too. I wonder what banana peels & almond extract would smell like. Maybe banana nut bread?!

I know you're going to go get a HUGE bag of apples right now...don't forget the Nutella!
