Snacktastic Saturday: Delicious Treats with Breyers Ice Cream Toppings

Anyone who knows me knows I love my ice cream. I practically inhale it, just ask the hubs. Who has also started eating his ice cream goodies before work at 4:30 in the morning, just to guarantee himself more than one serving. So you can imagine my giddy excitement when I found out I was chosen to be a Sundae-Savvy Mom by Breyers!

I know you're wondering what a Sundae-Savvy Mom does. But to me it was obvious, consume sundaes. (Woot Woot!) But not just any sundaes, super delicious ones made with Breyers Ice Cream Toppings. Yes, Breyers has stepped outside of the ice cream box & ventured into the world of ice cream toppings. Spoiler alert: They're amazing!

First I tried the Flavored Ice Cream Sauce. But before I even tasted them I fell in love. Let's just say the microwavable (& reusable) pouch is genius! No more hot mess in the microwave. Available in Hot Fudge, Chocolate & Caramel. Warm Caramel?! Einstein himself would be proud.

Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae:

•brownies (I made Mocha flavored brownies for no other reason than I thought of my favorite Salted Caramel Mocha)
• Breyers French Vanilla Ice Cream
•Breyers Caramel Flavored Ice Cream Sauce, warmed
•sprinkle of sea salt

-Layer in order given.
-Be prepared to want more

Next up, sprinkles! Never in my life have I seen such a large jar of sprinkles. Have you? And of course they tasted great. Why? Because they're sprinkles! Yes, sprinkles make me a happy little kid again. Talk about bonding time with my kids.

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches:

•cookies (I'm a chocolate chip kind of gal)
•Breyers French Vanilla Ice Cream, slightly softened
•Breyers Chocolate or Rainbow Sprinkles

-Sandwich softened ice cream between two cookies.
-Sprinkle sprinkles (insert giddy laugh here) onto ice cream.
-Place in freezer until firm.

So of course that leaves us with Breyers Real Fruit Toppings, which surprised me. I generally shy away from fruit toppings, because to me, they just don't taste right. I don't know if it's from that jarred taste (if you're weird like me you'll know what I mean) or if it's just a consistency thing. My guess is both. But Breyers has nailed it! Their Real Fruit Toppings actually taste like fruit! More so like Strawberry, Cherry & Mixed Berry (cherries, raspberries, strawberries & currants). Not to mention that they actually have large chunks of fruit in them. Can you believe that it was these that were gone first?!

Black Forest Sundae:

•Breyers Extra Creamy Chocolate Ice Cream
•Breyers Real Fruit Cherry Topping
•whipped cream
•mini chocolate chips (for crunch factor)

-Layer everything in the order given.
-Enjoy!

To help you indulge just a little bit more, I think I should let you know that all of Breyers Ice Cream Toppings are made without high-fructose corn syrup. Now you can enjoy your ice cream with less guilt. You're welcome.
